Transnational solidarity against green colonialism
Abstract
How can we rethink our use of natural resources to aim at better climate justice? In this episode we are talking to Mary Ann Manahan, a Filipina activist and researcher living in Belgium. Mary Ann walks us from the concept of green colonialism to the idea of deep and situated alliances in the process of imagining green futures. She shares real examples of cooperation between countries in the Global South, highlights the responsibility of people in the Global North, and calls for more open conversations around climate solutions.
