Basic direction: The object of the OeAD-GmbH, which is a non-profit organisation, is the implementation of measures of national, European and international cooperation in science and research as well as fostering of the arts, higher education, education and training as laid down in the OeAD Act (in particular § 3 of the OeAD Act). 

Shareholders 

The OeAD-GmbH was established on 1 January 2009 by the OeAD Act and is owned 100% by the Republic of Austria. The shareholder rights are exercised by the Federal Minister of Education, Science and Research.

ISO Certification 

The OeAD association, which has been incorporated in the OeAD-GmbH, introduced a quality and process management system in 2006 with the aim of continuously improving, developing and optimising its services and internal processes. In the same year the OeAD association was certified according to the international quality standard ISO 9001:2000. Since then the effectiveness of the quality management system has been confirmed annually by external monitoring audits. In 2016 the OeAD was certified according to ISO 9001:2015.

We are committed to making our websites accessible and intend to conform to compliance level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1” wherever possible.

Our accessibility tool has been developed specifically for the website. It is displayed at the right edge of the browser window. It includes following features:

• Increase Text: all texts on the website will appear in a bigger font size, up to 8 additional font sizes are available
• Decrease Text: reduces the font size back to a smaller size
• Grayscale: all pictures and texts are turned into grey
• High Contrast: turn on a high contrast version of the website
• Negative Contrast: will display light text on dark background
• Light Background: instead of background images, white or bright background will be used
• Links Underline: turn on underlining for all clickable links displayed on the page
• Readable Font: switch the font type to a font optimized for easy readability
• Reset: turn off accessibility features
