Basic direction: The object of the OeAD-GmbH, which is a non-profit organisation, is the implementation of measures of national, European and international cooperation in science and research as well as fostering of the arts, higher education, education and training as laid down in the OeAD Act (in particular § 3 of the OeAD Act).
Shareholders
The OeAD-GmbH was established on 1 January 2009 by the OeAD Act and is owned 100% by the Republic of Austria. The shareholder rights are exercised by the Federal Minister of Education, Science and Research.

ISO Certification
The OeAD association, which has been incorporated in the OeAD-GmbH, introduced a quality and process management system in 2006 with the aim of continuously improving, developing and optimising its services and internal processes. In the same year the OeAD association was certified according to the international quality standard ISO 9001:2000. Since then the effectiveness of the quality management system has been confirmed annually by external monitoring audits. In 2016 the OeAD was certified according to ISO 9001:2015.
